Annual Report

The Holly Area Youth Coalition is a non-profit organization dedicated to substance abuse prevention and positive youth development.

Vision:

The Holly Area Youth Coalition envisions a community of youth who have been empowered to make positive life choices.

Mission:

The mission of the Holly Area Youth Coalition is to work in partnership with the community to empower youth to make positive life choices. We are here to provide opportunities for youth and adults to develop assets that will prevent youth from making destructive decisions.

Office hours: Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

A few examples of coalition initiatives are: ACT After School Tutoring and Enrichment at Sherman Middle School, the Safe Homes Pledge and Booklet at both the High School and Sherman Middle School, sponsorship of school assemblies, Shop to Stop Drugs prevention awareness and fundraising campaign, the Asset Dinner, which recognizes individuals who are outstanding in the area of positive youth development, and starting this fall the All Stars after school enrichment program at Richter Intermediate School.

The Holly Area Youth Coalition has an open meeting policy and always welcomes new members and ideas. We meet on the second Monday of each month at 4:30 p.m. at the Karl Richter Campus, Wellspring School’s commons area, with our first meeting of the 2004/2005 school year on Monday, September 13. Please join us to find out ways you can get involved.
