Chartwells' top priority is the health and safety of the students,
faculty and staff of Holly Area Schools. In regards to the beef recall
from Hallmark/Westland Meat Company, as soon as we heard about the
initial hold issued by the USDA on January 30th, we immediately removed
the product from use throughout Holly Schools. Please be advised that
the recall is specified as "Class 2" which is considered a "low health
risk". This means there is only a remote probability of anyone becoming
sick from the use of the product. Please be assured that Holly Area
Schools has taken every precaution to protect our school community and
our Chartwells' Quality Assurance team is continuing to monitor the
situation for any further instructions.
